Amazon Fishing Adventures' Ultimate Peacock Bass Fishing Destination Resource

Amazon Fishing Adventures Fly-In Floating Expedition Camps

The Ultimate for Remote Shallow Water Mobility without sacrificing comfort!

Amazon Fishing Adventures Fly-In Floating Expedition Camp

Looking for a remote jungle adventure but want to stay mobile. Then look no further than the AFA Fly-In Floating Expedition Camps for the ultimate in Peacock Bass Fishing. The floating bungalow cabins cruise the shallow tributaries that feed the "lost and secluded lagoons" the Monster Peacock Bass like to call home. The floating caravan of four to six bungalows traverse these tributaries to get you to the best fishing locations as current conditions dictate. That may be an all or partial day move while you fish. But have no concern of being passed by, your camp will be ready when you arrive following a full and fatigued day of battling the Red-Eyed Monsters. Remoteness, coupled with exclusive fishing permissions in private fisheries and the ability to stay mobile as fishing conditions change on the river is primarily why the Floating Expedition Camps have become the most sought after adventure of Peacock Bass fishing fanatics.

Explosions on the Unini = Addiction = Peacock Bass Passion

Peacock Bass Passion . . . the Beginning.
In December of 2004 and September of 2005 videographer David Masterson and I traveled to the Cutter Camps on the Unini River. While there we filmed a couple of Television Shows for Brock Rays' World of Outdoors and American Heratige TV as well as packages for a promotional DVD. The following 6 minutes of Peacock Bass Fishing, artistically edited by Masterson, allow you a glimps into the beginning of my Peacock Bass Passion. 2007 was my last trip to the famed Unini. I will fish this river again someday and I hope you will join me.

Fishing the Americas eNewsletter

Of Blizzards, Bulls and Brazil

Whether it's Monster Bull Reds or Explosive Peacock Bass, let the 2014 Party Begin! As I prepare this edition of FTA eNews we are witnessing once again a major winter ice, snow and polar event here in the midwest. Someone surely missed the global warming email. It may be cold here with a warming trend coming but it's not just the weather that's heating up around the Mississippi Delta. Here's a quote from an email I received January 20th.

"Keith called tonight and said that today one of his friends and party caught over 70 big redfish with 8 between 30 and 40 pounds and 2 over 40 pounds. It just goes to show what I've said all along. Those big redfish will bite 12 months a year---it's just a matter of finding the right weather and water conditions. That's the crapshoot!
Bass Regards, Gary"
